There is a lovely garden that attracts parrots, flycatchers, the overly familiar grackle and lots of snails. I have my binoculars ready for botanizing and birding from the bus (on our way to Ponducherry)...although it is very likely that I will be fast asleep.

Glorious plants
We have only been in India for six hours and I have already seen about 20 species of plants-both the familiar (Ficus, Eucalyptus, Caeselpinia) and unfamiliar.
There is a lovely garden that attracts parrots, flycatchers, the overly familiar grackle and lots of snails. I have my binoculars ready for botanizing and birding from the bus (on our way to Ponducherry)...although it is very likely that I will be fast asleep.
